Our Story

 

Cameron James Tasker
LL.B., B.Ed (Hons), MISM

Having recently graduated from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Cameron is a first-study pianist and trained vocalist. Working full-time as a teacher of music at secondary level, he continues to perform & direct professionally and is a member of both the Incorporated Society of Musicians and the Musicians’ Union.

Having started playing the piano under the expert tuition of Mrs Elizabeth Kearney from a young age, Cameron has over 15 years of experience in classical piano and earned his ABRSM qualifications. He has had the privilege to accompany West End legends including John Owen Jones (‘Les Miserables’), Sabrina Carter (‘Wicked’) and Faye Tozer (from 'Steps') as part of the Glasgow Philharmonia Orchestra at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall as well as act as Musical Director/Assistant MD for numerous local organisations including CentreStage, Loudoun Musical Society and Glasgow Light Opera Club. He most recently studied under the tuition of accomplished concert pianist, Sasa Gerzelj-Donaldson.

Additionally, Cameron is a keen singer having performed in theatre since his childhood and studied classical voice professionally under the tuition of Soprano, Kathleen McKellar-Ferguson. Cameron is also a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) & worked as a Tutor in Musical Theatre on the Short Courses programme at the RCS.

As a young, emerging educator, Cameron is passionate about making music & the arts accessible to all. CTMusic aims to create an individual learning experience to meet the needs and desired outcomes of every pupil from progressing through ABRSM exams to developing self-confidence & fostering a hobby for life.
